It's been awhile since posting anything in blog format. . . too much of a gap since the end of 9--months--and--counting. The countdown is over and our little guy arrived. Now, it's hard to believe that it's been almost six months since his arrival! I'd like to try to post a little something each day if I can keep up with it. There are so many exciting moments as a mommy, that I think I can find something special or something learned from each day.
Today's happenings:
We picked up Brett's photos from his first in-studio portrait shoot (at JCPenney's). Traffic was bad the closer we got to the city. I sure appreciate living out away from the center of town...can't deal with "big city" traffic and standstills. Apparently, the major standstill was due to a car accident and a tow truck was blocking two lanes of traffic to remove two cars during rush hour. Still, we made it to Penney's to meet up with Daddy to see the photos and to have dinner.
The pictures are so cute! I already put the 8x10 up on the wall!
A lady in the mall - a complete stranger- was smiling at Brett. As she and her husband walked by, she commented in a German (?) accent, "Your baby looks like both of you...exactly like both of you." What a neat comment! He definitely looks like a good combination of both of us.
I don't have any digital files of the photos from Penney's, but here is one of my current favorites from home that I recently took:
